Instruments and experiences concerning projects/plans/governance

Research concerns the theoretical methods and the practical outcomes of the process of  drawing up landscape plans and designs, from the knowledge to the operational proposals with respect of both general territorial planning at the various administrative levels (Municipalities, Provinces, Groups of Municipalities), and of specific problems and tools (rural territory, hydro-geological system, etc….) , and with respect to shared landscape tools (maps and landscape contracts, Agenda 21 etc…). All the above are strictly linked with the guidelines stated by CEP and its testing in Europe.

Part of the research, which is regularly updated, is devoted to critical comparison of the reading methods and of the landscape interpretation techniques in the various European countries which are at the base of the landscape policies and of their tools at the different administrative levels (Landscape Atlases, LCA, ALA, German and Dutch methodologies etc…).
