Research is geared to study the relation between the nucleus or/and rural buildings and its agricultural context in order to protect and preserve the landscape characters of the agricultural territory.
The investigation method identifies an artefact as a part of a “landscape system” which is made up of formal, functional, social, economic relations that change over time and that characterize the current landscape where they can still be read. Reading concerns the materials and building features of the artefacts, their relations with the surrounding territory, the morphology of the territory, the characteristics of crops, the arrangement of the vegetation, the water network and their visibility from close, average and far range.
