AAA – Environmental analysts association
This association was set up for ensuring an integrated landscape approach. It groups people and institutions in charge of environmental analysis and assessment, regardless of their specialization, in order to concretely encourage a truly interdisciplinary and integrated culture about the environment issue.

ANAB – National Bioecological Architecture Association
This association has the function of promoting awareness about the landscape issue, its protection and the cultural and material damages it is subject to, with a focus on the building techniques and the choice of the materials for making architectural artefacts.

ARSPAT – Association for landscape, environmental and territorial restoration
It aims at strengthening the systemic culture of both the environmental heritage and the territory, by promoting the creation of disciplines linked with environmental and territorial restoration and putting together the various disciplinary contributions.

INU – National Institute for Town-planning
Free association promoting research about buildings and town-planning and disseminating the planning principles. The research is conducted in various fields linked with town-planning, and more particularly, it deals with the following issues: city, territory, environment and cultural heritage.

ISPAR – Institute for the study of landscape and of rural architecture
This institute is open to both technicians and researchers from various disciplines (architecture, town-planning, geography, natural sciences, history, geology, forestry and any other discipline having some connection with landscape or rural architecture) as well as to people who are personally interested in them, in order to disseminate information about culture, history, design, conservation and planning.

Italia nostra
An association with the function of protecting and preserving the Italian environment and the territory.

Legambiente Onlus
This association, supported by the general public and acknowledged by the Ministry of the Environment as an association interested in the environment issue, is part of the Bureau Européen de l'Environnement as well as of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

FAI - Fondo per l'ambiente italiano (Funds for the Italian environment)
This is the main Italian non-profit institution for the protection, safeguard and care of the artistic and natural heritage. It is the third most important association in Europe after the English and the Scottish National Trusts.

AIAPP – Italian Association of Landscape Architecture
It has been representing since 1950 all the professionals working on landscape-related matters. Associated to IFLA and to EFLA, it groups nowadays about 500 Italian landscape architects committed to the protection, preservation and improvement of the environmental quality at national level.
