Benetton foundation for studies and research
This foundation carries our research about four main issues: landscape, Veneto history, history of play and cultural heritage. Among the main activities connected with landscape: courses, studies, seminars and meetings. Every year the Foundation promotes the Carlo Scarpa International Competition for Gardens, which has now reached the 17th edition, awards prizes to sites rich in natural and memory values.
Landscape Observatory (Observatori del Paisatge)
The Observatori del Paisatge is an advising institution depending on the Government of Catalonia with the function to carry out research and gather documents about landscape matters. It was set up with the purpose to study landscape, to formulate proposals and encourage the Catalan society to improve the protection, management and planning of the Catalan landscape within a scheme of sustainable development.
In the Observatori del Paisatge a documentation centre, which is still to be completed, is available and it includes books, unpublished documents, maps and photos of the Catalan landscape. Access to the documents is free and open to everybody.
